HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BUILD A HOME?

That depends on the complexity of the home, an affordable home would take us about 60 days. The plans and the selections determine the schedule, it could be 4 – 6 months or if a High end custom home could take as much as a year or more. The schedule would be determine after review of the construction drawings.

WE HAVE OUR OWN HOME PLANS, WILL YOU WORK WITH THEM?

Yes, we can build from any set of completed plans with engineering. bring them to let us build for you.

WHAT KIND OF FOUNDATIONS DO YOU BUILD?

We build slab on grade with all rebar, slab on grade with post tension cables and also pier foundations of all kinds. Whatever foundation is specified by the engineer we can build.

WHAT KIND OF WINDOWS DO YOU USE?

We use whatever the owner would like, wood,vinyl or metal. The owner can chose the brand, style and price point. We are here to please our clients with professional service.

DO I NEED TO OWN A LOT BEFORE I VISIT EDHB?

No, but it does help to get a builders opinion before the purchase of any lot. Site work can be very expensive if no consideration is taken for lots with excavation or raising the grade of a lot for flood control. It is a good thing to call EDHB to help with your lot needs.

I DON'T HAVE HOME PLANS, DO YOU HAVE SOME?

Yes, we have over 100 plans from affordable to high end luxury. 1500 sqft to over 20,000 sqft. If we don’t have what you like then we can design whatever you like.

DO YOU BUILD GREEN?

Yes, we incorporate green and sustainable building principles into every home we build without driving up the cost of construction. We apply building physics to building performance that translate building science into elements of design and construction. All features of our high performance homes are energy efficiency, water efficiency, materials efficiency and indoor environmental quality efficiency.

DOES IT COST LESS TO BUILD ON MY LOT?

No, I am often ask this question and there are a lot of perimeters involved in building a home. A custom home built on your lot there are costs associated with building that are upfront cost like plans, engineering, Lot cost and surveys. But with the right builder we can help you with the best price for your budget.
